Overview
Char Dham of Uttarakhand or Chhota Char Dham (small four abodes) is one of the most important Hindu Pilgrimages in India. It comprises of four most holy sites of Uttarakhand, namely – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. When and how these places got linked in a pilgrimage circuit together is not known. Each of the places has its own individual and legendary history. But perhaps it is the greatness and mysticism of each site that has qualified them to form a sacred pilgrimage tour.

Itinerary
Arrival at Delhi and drive to Haridwar/Rishikesh. Check-in at hotel. In the evening, attend Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri (Haridwar) or Triveni Ghat (Rishikesh). Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive towards Barkot via Mussoorie (optional sightseeing at Kempty Falls). Enjoy scenic Himalayan views. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Early morning drive to Janki Chatti. Trek (6 km one side) to Yamunotri Temple. Take a holy dip in Surya Kund and seek blessings of Maa Yamuna. Return to Barkot. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Evening free for rest. Overnight stay.
Early morning drive to Gangotri Temple. Take holy dip in River Ganga at Bhagirathi. Darshan at Gangotri Temple and return to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, long scenic drive to Guptkashi. Visit Ardhnarishwar Temple (if time permits). Overnight stay.
Early morning drive to Sonprayag / Gaurikund. Begin trek (16-18 km) to Kedarnath Temple or optional helicopter service. Evening darshan and aarti at Kedarnath. Overnight stay near temple.
Morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple. Trek down to Gaurikund and drive back to Guptkashi. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Evening darshan at Badrinath Temple and attend aarti. Overnight stay.
Morning visit to Mana Village (last Indian village), Vyas Gufa & Bhim Pul. Later drive to Rudraprayag/Srinagar. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar/Rishikesh. Evening free for leisure or shopping. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Tour concludes with divine blessings and unforgettable memories.

The Char Dham Yatra usually starts in April/May and continues till October/November, depending on weather conditions. The best time is May–June and September–October.

The Kedarnath trek is approximately 16–18 km from Gaurikund. It is moderate in difficulty. Pony, palki, and helicopter services are available at additional cost.

Yes, but senior citizens should consult their doctor before travel. We recommend helicopter service for Kedarnath for elderly travelers.
